The City of Miramar is located in Broward County. It is conveniently located in the center of South Florida and borders with the city of Pembroke Pines to the north and Miami-Dade County to the south. It stretches from the Everglades in the west to State Road 7 in the east. Miramar is home to Memorial Miramar Hospital, Miramar Cultural Arts Center, the Botanical Garden, and once was the home of actor, Johnny Depp who lived and went Miramar High School.
Miramar is certainly no stranger to diversity. The city’s population is made up of people from all races and ethnic backgrounds which creates a very rich and unique atmosphere. Miramar has been named the best place to live on Money Magazine’s list more than once in the past few years, and not just because of the fabulous weather but also as an ideal place to start a business and raise a family.
